Birds of Prey Community Projects

North Yorkshire Moors Birds of Prey runs a number of Community Projects in an attempt to conserve our local wildlife and natural habitats.

Catering for all ages, the North Yorkshire Moors Birds of Prey experience provides a hands-on opportunity that will enable you to immerse yourself in the exciting world of falconry and birds of prey.

With a mission to educate children and adults alike, we utilise our knowledge and expertise to make attendees aware of the environmental issues that are currently blighting the British countryside. To protect and maintain the habitat these beautiful birds of prey live in, our eye-opening sessions highlight the obligation we all have to conserve our country’s wildlife

To give something back to the local community, it is our intention to work with those less fortunate than most to provide an experience that will improve their lives forever. To do this, we run training classes for individuals who are struggling to find suitable work or a further education placement. The classes will be dedicated to the best practices in how to care for, nurture and handle the birds for the purpose of falconry. These transferrable skills can be taken away and utilised in every walk of life to increase the participant’s chances of future employment.
